In addition to monitoring CPU and memory usage of the web servers and
database servers, Web Performance testing allows to configure the speed
at which the virtual user is connected to the server.
How do I get to the Modem Simulation screen ?
Suite Manager >> Continue with Web Performance Testing >>
Load Test (left tree) >> Modem Simulation (right panel)
Configuring Modem Simulation
Click the Modem Simulation link
from the right panel of the load test screen. The Modem Simulation dialog
will be displayed. From the Connection Speed list box, select the speed
at which the virtual user is to be connected to the server. The available
options include 14.4 Kbps (Analog Modem), 28.8 Kbps (Analog Modem), 56
Kbps (Analog Modem), 64 Kbps (ISDN), 128 Kbps (Dual ISDN), 256 Kbps (DSL)
and 512 Kbps (DSL). Click the Save
button to complete the configuration.
