Installing
QEngine Toolbar
After starting the QEngine
server, the first step is to install/download the QEngine
toolbar. QEngine
Toolbar is available for MSIE,
Firefox and
Mozilla browsers.
The QEngine
toolbar allows you to test the functionality or performance of your web
applications and web services. Install the toolbar as per the steps given
below.
Installing QEngine
Toolbar in Windows
In Windows, type the URL: http://<host_name>:<port_number>
in the browser where host name is the name of the machine where QEngine
server is running and port number is the port where QEngine Server has
been started. By default, the port value is 8080. This value can be changed
by editing the value for the WEBSERVER_PORT
variable in <QEngine_Home>/bin/setCommonEnv.bat/.sh
file. Entering this URL will display a page with Download
Toolbar image.
Click the Download
Toolbar image which will popup
the File Download screen to download
the .msi file. After downloading the .msi
file, double-click on the file which will bring up the wizard. This wizard
will take you through the installation steps to install the toolbar in
IE.
You can also install the QEngine Toolbar
using ActiveX installation, by pointing the mouse and clicking on the
text clicking here... in the text
"You can install the QEngine Toolbar via ActiveX installation by
clicking here..." given below the Download
Toolbar image.
Installing QEngine
Toolbar in Linux
In Linux, type the URL: http://<host_name>:<port_number>
in the browser where host name is the name of the machine where QEngine
server is running and port number is the port where QEngine Server has
been started. By default, the port value is 8080. This value can be changed

Toolbar button.
Click the Install Toolbar
image which will popup
a screen. Click Install Now
button in this screen. This will install the toolbar in Mozilla/Firefox.
After installing the
toolbar, restart the browser. In the browser, you should be able to view
the QEngine
Toolbar as shown below. If you have any issues in installing the toolbar

Uninstalling
QEngine Toolbar
To uninstall
QEngine Toolbar,
click the drop-down arrow from QEngine
option in QEngine Toolbar as shown in the image given below. Click the
Uninstall
Toolbar option to uninstall
the QEngine
Toolbar and restart the browser. This will successfully uninstall
the QEngine
Toolbar.
